Point Lobos State Reserve

In February we went on a hiking/photography day trip to Point Lobos State Reserve, just south of Carmel, CA. This is a very beautiful and unique park, with sweeping coastal view, cypress groves, tidal pools, several beaches, and some of the most popular diving in Northern California. The majority of the Reserve is under water! Kari and I took a 6 mile hike around about 30-40% of the available trails and coastline you can see here, at least without getting you feet wet. We are planning to go back in the near future and see the rest of the park we can from dry land.
